My name is Paula McMillan and welcome to “the stuff of life”.

A little bit about me:  I’m 57 years old.  Current and past labels include:  wife, ex-wife (past label, although technically I am still someone’s ex-wife), mother, step-mother (I hate that word), daughter, sister, student (past if you’re thinking of school, present if you’re thinking about life), employee, photographer, and now….blogger!

I am not here to give you tips on how to live your life.  I am not here to sell you anything.

I am here to share stories that I have collected over the years that encompass what I call “the stuff of life.”  It’s a potpourri collection of things that happen in life.  Of course my experiences are different than yours, but we all grapple with love, and loss, joy and anger, joy and frustration, happiness and despair, just to name a few.

Also, as I mentioned, I am 57 years old and I tend to forget things that I don’t write down.  So this site is as much for me as it is for you.

So, I hope you enjoy the stuff of life and I welcome you to this site.

One final thing.  I left “grandmother” off of the list in the beginning of this introduction because I am new to it, and I don’t have much experience with it yet.  When I do, I will add that to the list.
